Shack was built for people who want to know exactly where their money goes without opening a dozen banking apps. It brings every transaction into one shakeable, glanceable feed.

The goal was to make tracking spend feel as effortless as checking the time.

The Challenge

Most expense trackers ask users to manually log every purchase, which means the habit dies within a week. We needed an interaction model that required near-zero effort while still feeling trustworthy for financial data.

Our Approach

We prototyped a shake-to-log gesture paired with automatic bank sync, then stress-tested the flow with real users across a dozen banking apps to make sure it never felt gimmicky.

Design Solution

The final product pairs a bold, high-contrast dashboard with a single shake gesture for logging spend, so tracking a payment takes less time than unlocking the phone.
